RTCA Announces Radio Personality Bobby Bones As Guest Emcee at the 73rd Annual RTCA Dinner

The Radio & Television Correspondents’ Association is pleased to announce nationally-syndicated radio personality Bobby Bones will serve as guest emcee at the 73rd annual Congressional Correspondents Dinner set for October 25, 2017 at the National Building Museum.

Bones’ weekday radio program, The Bobby Bones Show originates from iHeartMedia’s WSIX-FM in Nashville, Tennessee and is heard on more than 100 stations nationwide as well as iHeartRadio.  

He also hosts a weekend countdown show Country Top 30; is a New York Times Best-Selling author for his first book, Bare Bones: I’m Not Lonely If You’re Reading This Book; a stand-up comedian performing sold-out shows on his Funny & Alone tour; and is half of the chart-topping comedy band Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots.

Born and raised in Arkansas, Bones began his radio career at age 17 at KSWH-FM 91.1, the campus station of Henderson State University, where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Radio/Television.

The Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association aims to promote the radio and television news gathering fraternity and strives to protect the rights and privileges of radio and television news reporters, and assist in every way possible to maintain the high standards of reporting news by radio, television, wireless and other similar means of transmission. The RTCA credentials approximately 3,700 broadcasters from more than 100 news organizations to cover the United States Congress.
